For my 2022 senior portfolio project, I illustrated a series of drawings narrating my experience as a Korean American living in New York City.

Throughout these illustrations, I wanted to show how certain aspects of being "not too Korean" for Koreans, but "not too American" for Americans shaped how I grew up (and continuing) and influenced my view on life: visiting the sauna, enjoying Korean shrimp chips on a car ride through Upstate New York scenery, wearing a hanbok and having a pizza birthday party in an American schooling system, and enjoying a home Korean barbecue in an apartment.
